About Me and My Music

My lifelong dream (one of them, anyway) was to be in a rock band.

And I did it, in 1988.

I got kicked out in 1989. The lead singer was a bit of a jerk who thought having a high school kid in the band was holding them back. We were called Catch. Or Presence. Either way I'm sure you never heard of us, unless you were there that night. We did one gig on amateur night in a bar on Long Island. I can't remember the name of the bar. I made twenty dollars, and a bunch of my friends came to see me play. Somewhere in the basement I still have the VCR tape of that night. I think the ad in the newspaper said we were Catch. The lead singer polled the audience and got annoyed when people didn't choose Catch, and cursed them out. I said he was a bit of a jerk.

If I couldn't be in a band, I always wanted to have an album out. I always wanted to say to people, "Hey, I've got an album. Check it out!" So, this is me, saying to you, "Hey, I've got an album. Check it out!" I also wanted to be a writer. I always wanted to say, "Hey, I've got a novel. Check it out!" I'm still working on that one. Unfortunately, publishing music online is cool now, and easy to do. Publishing a book online...not so much.

So, hey, I've got an album. Check it out!
